I was too tired to post about the rest of my weekend last night. Not a ton to tell though. Sunday morning I picked Casey up from her sleepover and we went to Easter mass. She actually wore a dress! Why didn't I think to take a picture? She wouldn't have let me anyway (she was already cranky enough from lack of sleep and the torture of a dress and heels), but still. After church we went to Dennys as usual, and then home to relax for a few hours and I also worked on dishes and laundry. We went to my parents' house for dinner that evening, and my brother came with his adorable puppy. My parents gave Casey a birthday card since they won't be seeing her on her actual birthday, and despite claims she wouldn't be getting any more presents after the expensive cell phone they got her, she got 2 $50 gift cards for the movies. Which makes me SO happy because we both love going to the movies and I really can't afford it.

Casey started back to school today after spring break, and of course I went back to work after the weekend. Work was steady, and quiet because (the noisy) half of the office was out doing park shifts (mine are Wednesday and Thursday) for half the day. Tonight I made spaghetti for dinner, took Casey and Danielle to Girl Scouts, went on a long walk with Willow, took a shower, watched Private Practice and Chuck, and then as soon as I got into bed I was informed that the downstairs toilet was overflowing. Was it ever. That toilet has been shitty (so to speak, heh) since the day I bought this house. Apparently the guy who owned the house before me flushed some paint or something he shouldn't have. I don't know... but it's never been very strong. So when I got downstairs it was still running and there was a river flowing into my living room. GAH. Casey's backpack got wet, along with the bathroom rug and hamper. It took 5 large beach towels to sop up all the water. Fun times at 11:00 at night. At least I got my exercise running up and down the stairs to get more towels and bring up the wet ones to put in the washing machine.

It's okay, tomorrow night I'm going to Zumba to dance it out.
