Got stuck at work about 20 minutes later than expected and then finally went to pick Casey up at school. She got out a little late too, from taping tomorrow's morning announcements. Found out that Danielle wouldn't be going to Girl Scouts tonight, which meant I didn't have to take her, but also meant Christine wouldn't be picking Casey up for me.
Then Casey informed me that Karla texted that she needed a ride to and from the meeting. She lives in the complete opposite direction. Already there was hardly enough time to throw together some dinner before we had to go (trying not to allow myself to justify getting fast food. I bought groceries for a reason, you know?).
So I'm cooking spaghetti and having Casey mapquest Karla's house, and then telling her to get out of MySpace and do her homework, when the dog decides to puke a few times. The poor thing is still doing that. Not sure what she got into, but she keeps looking at me with these big sad eyes. She definitely doesn't feel good. So I get that cleaned up and finish dinner and we eat really fast, go get Karla and I drop the girls off 10 minutes into the meeting.
I notice my gas tank is on the E, go take care of that, and then I need to get a few things at the store, but I realize I'm not sure exactly what my bank account balance is, except I know it's low enough I have to be very careful. I've got to refill my meds tomorrow, so I have to make sure I have enough left for that. So I run home and pull up my account online, head back out and grab $25 worth of stuff at the grocery store (which was actually $5 more than planned, but I think I'll get by okay. P.S. Confession time: I got a king sized Hershey bar because that's the only size they had and intended to share it with Casey, but the PMS took over and I ate it all. Oops) and then rush back to pick the girls up from scouts. I arrived a few minutes late, but as luck would have it, they ran over (they always do), so I ended up waiting for them anyway. Dropped Karla off at home and then Casey asked if she could have a shake from McDonald's, so we hit the drive thru (least I could do after eating her share of the candy bar, LOL) and got home at close to 9 PM. Whew.
But then we finally got to watch The Office (Online because my DVR decided not to record it. It was a pretty good one... loved Andy falling into the box. But it was one of those eps where Michael goes a little too far for my taste. But oh my, Andy's Brad Pitt fantasy was superb) and then How I Met Your Mother (which never fails to crack me up), and we gave the new Joel McHale/Chevy Chase/John Oliver show Community a shot. Very funny. I am already a big fan of Abed. Dude. He quoted Breakfast Club. That alone makes him awesome.
