I just had lunch with Casey. She's having a decent time, but (she thinks) she's too cool for a lot of the activities. The makeup department came in and did a demonstration, and then they all got to design their own face painting and then paint each other. Casey didn't want to do it because she didn't like the idea of some little kid painting her face, but she said you HAD to (poor baby), and then she was lucky enough to get a teenager to do it. It looks good... a cherry on one cheek and a flower on the other. She won't let me take a picture though. And then someone from Entertainment came and showed them a choreographed dance. Casey said she started to learn it, but then it got lame so she sat out. The kids (not Casey, though she wasn't the only one to opt out) performed the dance for us after lunch and it was cute.
She said she's kind of having fun, but she's bummed that they haven't gone into the park at all yet. They usually get to at least do one ride or show, and even sometimes have gotten to go backstage. But they told them that this time they will be staying in the soundstage the whole day. Although, they also said there would be a big surprise at the end, and Casey and I are thinking it involves going on a ride - maybe The Simpsons (it would make sense to make it a surprise - it's not officially open yet, so they have to make sure it's even possible first).
So, I am supposed to go back at 3, at which time they will have like a closing ceremony with certificates and such, and then we get to be a part of the surprise, whatever that ends up being. Cool. I told her that after we were done there, we'd go hop on The Mummy real quick since it's right next door, and then head over to my desk.
