I'm incredibly stressed about finances right now, but I'm working through it the best I can. I have some applications in for a second job and I'm just going to have to stop spending unecessarily. I'm just trying to take a deep breath and get through it. I really envy people who have enough money to be comfortable and don't have to worry about crap like this. I mean literally, Casey asked for cotton balls so she could put medicine in her ears and I told her to use napkins... she'd have to wait until I got paid on Friday. Seriously.

I got this thing in the mail from Petco for $5 off any purchase, as a thank you for being a good customer. Perfect timing, seeing as how I'm broke (no, really?) and needed crickets. So I went last night, crickets were $4.99 and she tells me I have to get something else because the purchase has to be at least $5. WTF? It's not like I wanted a penny back. There was a line behind me, so I had to just grab some dog treats real quick and pay $3 for them. Not that $3 for dog treats AND crickets isn't great, but still. Just give me the crickets. It's $4.99 for God's sake. Thank you for being a good customer my ass.

My DVR had a nervous breakdown last night and as a result I missed part of American Idol and Big Brother. I usually let a show go for a little while before I start watching so I can go past commercials. So I'm watching Syesha sing and then it just decides to stop recording. Even when I switched over to Fox, it wouldn't let me rewind. If I hit pause or rewind, or anything really, I would get a black screen for a few seconds, and when it came back it wouldn't let me do anything but hit Live. I ended up unplugging it for a few seconds and it seems to work now, but I missed Chikezie and Brooke, and then the first half of Big Brother (Evel Dick! DAMMIT). Good thing both shows are heavy on the recaps. From what I did see, Michael Johns and David Cook (ugliest. baby pic. ever. Sorry, it had to be said) totally rocked. I'm not sure David A is still my favorite. I still love him, but he's got some stiff competition.

Had an appointment with my allergist this morning. My usual doc is retiring, so now I have this man who seems nice enough. Is it weird that when he felt for swollen glands, I liked it because it had been too long since a man touched my face? LOL, LAME.
