I got an awesome surprise in the mail yesterday - a $740 check from the research clinic. I was under the impression that I wasn't getting paid until the end of the study, a year from now. But I guess they decided to send me what I've earned so far. Yay! Couldn't come at a better time of the year. Unfortunately that money is going to disappear almost as soon as it hits the bank, but at least I'll be able to use it to catch up on bills and maybe for a little Christmas shopping.

I attempted to make meatloaf for dinner last night, but then realized I don't have a loaf pan. I have only made it a couple of times and I guess I always use the disposable ones. So I just made us some salads, and tonight I'll stop and get a pan and then make it.

I went to the library and checked out Meg Cabot's Size 12 is Not Fat. Sounds like a self help book, but it's actually a mystery novel about a former pop star turned detective. I wanted something light to contrast the intensity of Blindness. I haven't had a chance to read much, but it seems cute so far.

The Kid Nation season finale nearly made me cry last night. That was a good show. I hope they bring it back.
