Casey had a good time playing putt putt with her camp yesterday, and their bus pulled up to the middle school just in time for me to grab her and get her to the doctor for her appointment. The shot they gave her is actually called HPV, not PPV. Anyway, we were in and out really quick. She said the shot hurt really bad and that her arm was still sore when we were leaving, but within minutes she was bright and cheerful and all was well again.
After that we went to see my brother for haircuts. He said Casey’s hair was terribly damaged from chlorine. I told him to cut off an inch. It’s getting too long anyway and he needed to get rid of that damaged hair. Hopefully it will be easier to brush now. She was mad this morning because she realized her bangs are just barely long enough to fit into a ponytail now. She had gotten to the point where she could do her own ponytail, but with the bangs so short it’s harder. I did it and it looked fine, though. Anyway, as for me I’m just happy to have my hair out of my face.
Next stop was Fazoli’s, where we met Daniel for a delicious dinner. It was right by the apartments Casey’s dad and I used to live in together years ago, so we took a little detour so I could drive around in there and show her.
Anyway, we got home at around the time we normally would had I been working a normal shift. So I felt pretty accomplished that instead of sitting in my cube I’d managed to do a few things. I wanted to do a little more running around, but by then there was this nasty storm outside, so I decided to stay in for the night.
I think I need to take Willow to the vet, but I’m going to wait until next week because I’m already going to have to work late to make up the time I’ve used this week. She’s been itching like mad lately, mostly on her belly. That happens to her a lot and the vet tells me to give her Benedryl. They also gave me some spray for her, but it seems like those things aren’t enough lately, and her belly looks pretty bad. So I want to make sure it’s not an infection, or even if it isn’t they can give her a Cortisone shot to help with the itching. Poor baby. Poor bank account too, I’m sure.
Rescue Me was pretty funny last night. A couple of memorable quotes:
“If you say ‘bla bla bla’ one more time I’ll cut you.”
“I’ll just stay here in the valley of the dolls and be watched”
“I didn’t hear anything he said. All I could hear was ‘cock cock cockity cocking cock cock’” or something like that. LOL
But you know, as much as I love Rescue Me, I’m getting really sick of the fact that every female is completely nuts or a horrible bitch. Does Denis Leary hate women or what? Jeez.
