Job Stuff
Last Saturday marked one year since I graduated with a BA in Organizational Communication.
Let’s see... where has my degree taken me? Oh yeah, I'm in the exact same freaking job. I am making a tad more money, but that's only because of the tiny merit increase that everyone gets if they aren't totally worthless.
The bright light at the end of the tunnel is that I just got an email about a position. Remember this? (thanks for teaching me how to do links, xrobnx!) Well, they never called me back, but it turns out that now they need another executive assistant. I emailed them that I loved the place before and would really like to interview for it. The problem is that even if they decide they want me this time, I don't have much hope that they'll be able to offer me the salary I need (I think that might be why they didn’t offer me the first one, because I really thought they liked me a lot). But I was really disappointed when they didn’t offer me the job before, because I really liked the people and the place. It would have been a nice change of pace.
So, we’ll see. Fingers crossed!
