That Virginia Tech shooting is horrible. Can you imagine just going to class like any other day and then BOOM. Jeez. My prayers are with the families of the victims. Including and maybe especially, the family of the shooter. Imagine what they must be going through.

Anyway…

I just barely made it on the employee shuttle this morning. In fact, I had to sit on the floor. So this lady tried to get on after that and they told her it was full, so she goes “Oh shit” and gets off. Everyone on the shuttle freaked out. The whole way to my building, it was like:

“Did you hear what she said?”
“I can’t believe it”
“And she’s an office manager!”
“Give her a break. She’s probably having a bad day.”
“I want to find out her name”.

I mean, seriously. Calm down. I found it kind of amusing that everyone seemed SO offended by that one word. And it’s not like there were guests or kids there. Silly people.

Casey got 2 more DS games last night - Tony Hawk and a brain teaser one. Yep.

I have a research clinic appointment today at noon. I had misplaced my appointment card and didn’t know when it was going to be until they confirmed yesterday. So that made me panic a little, because I thought I had more time to lose some weight before I had to go face the music again. You know, I lost 4 pounds last week, but since then I’ve been doing a shitty job of behaving myself. I kept thinking I had time to make up for it. But I weighed myself this morning, and I only gained back 1 pound. So I’m really happy that I will at least be able to show that 3 pounds of loss, because that’s not too bad for 2 weeks, and it’s better than I’ve been doing.

Thank God You’re Here was pretty funny last night. Casey watched it for the first time and loved it. Brian Posehn was really bad and made me feel awful for him (I could never do that crap either, and I’ve tried when I was involved in drama in the past), but everyone else was great. Jason Alexander was funny even though he seemed out of his element. You could see him think about what he was going to say all the time, whereas you could tell that Jane Lynch and Harland Williams were total naturals at it. I’m psyched as hell that Angela from The Office will be on Wednesday’s episode, because I know that she has a big improv background. Actually, she’s still touring with a group. So she will probably be awesome.
