Today my little girl is 11. Although she says she is still 10 because she was born at 6:06 PM. Well, okay.
But really, how is it that they go from this

to this

so quickly?
SIGH
She completely flipped when she opened the Nintendo DS I got her. So I'm glad she's happy with her present. In fact, getting her to pull her face away from it has been a huge challenge today. But alas, she had to at least long enough for us to go to a very crowded mass.
The DS is actually pretty cool. One of the games I got her is Nintendogs. It's basically a virtual pet. You go to the kennel and choose one to adopt, then you name it and take care of it. Hers is a very cute lab named Lily. The graphics are so good, the dog is very real looking and totally adorable. You can pet it, teach it tricks, take it on walks, etc. A very cool thing you can do is blow bubbles for the dog to chase. You actually blow on the screen and it makes bubbles fly around on the screen. Neat. And you can chat with other DS users in chat rooms. Oh, but get this. The dog responds to her voice commands (if I tried to tell it something it wouldn't listen... it knows her voice). When she was teaching it to sit, she'd say "Lily, sit!" and it would play it back to her. The sound is a tad garbled, so it sounds very distinctly like it's saying "Lily, shit!" OMG, it makes me laugh every time. I asked Casey if it poops when she says that. Heh.
Also, when the dogs bark on the game, it makes Willow tilt her head back and forth. LOL
My parents gave her some really nice roller blades. Hopefully she'll eventually put the game down long enough to use them.
My parents are picking us up in about an hour so we can go to a mediocre buffet for Easter dinner. Then we are having cake at my brother's apartment.
I hope everyone is having a great Easter Sunday!
Also, here's a picture I took a few minutes ago. Willow decided to lay on Casey's butt and she did not appreciate it. So she told me to help get her off, but instead I took a picture. This is her yelling at me to stop and trying to shake Willow off. Oh, and that's her Easter outfit too.
