Hidden Blessing
Being home today turned out to be a really great thing. Casey has finished her speech and is now out with my mom shopping for sheets for her new bed (being delivered tomorrow). I have nearly finished the laundry, I paid some bills, cleaned the house, and packed up most of the things I needed to for the floor install. I just spoke to Lowes and they are going to be delivering the product some time tomorrow, and then the install should be a day or two away. I can't do it Tuesday (research clinic appointment and then a baseball game with the work folks), so maybe Monday or Wednesday.
Anyway, it's been a very productive, and at times relaxing day. Ah. I have even found some time to lounge. I watched this week's episode of Supernatural, for example. It was pretty good, but I have to say that show is really predictable. I'm always guessing the twists before they are revealed, and with other shows, I usually never see things coming. But still, how hot was Sam without his shirt on? RAWR.
Also, my Buffy comic arrived in the mail, which resulted in much happy dancing on my part. I read it pretty quickly. It was short. Um... I guess I like it okay. Something I liked about Buffy was that it was about supernatural things taking place in the real world... you know, at a high school or a college, where there are dances and boys and normal everyday things happening in the midst of it all... and they have gone and comic book'd it up. It's very futuristic and different, and I'm not sure I like it. But I did giggle at some of the lines, and they have me interested enough to read the next one, so we'll see.
Tomorrow will likely be nuts. Aside from Casey going to religious ed, us going to church and a likely meal out with my parents (though that's in the air because my mom isn't feeling too good today... although it was her idea to take Casey shopping for sheets, so I guess she's not that bad off), we have the bed being delivered and then we have to get her room set back up, and the floor materials, which we have to make room for.
But yeah, at least I did end up with more free time than I expected to have.
