I've spent the last hour or so sitting on the floor of Casey's room, throwing crap away. Oh, and trying to keep Willow from stealing shit. That's a full time job by itself. There's still a ton to go through in her room, and then there's the rest of the house. I won't finish today, but I'll keep working until I have to leave to pick Casey up (around 7:30). For right now, I'm having a little something to eat and taking a short break.

I worked pretty hard around the house yesterday, and then at around 5:30 I hit a brick wall. I think getting up so early just suddenly hit me and I was exhausted. I forced myself to work on Casey's room a little bit, but eventually gave up and plopped myself in front of the TV. I also found some puzzle books in Casey's room and decided to work on them. Mostly the logic puzzles. You know, it's those little charts where you have to figure out what goes with what based on clues. Like one I did was about kids going to daycare, and you had to figure out which kid was dropped off by what family member, what toy they brought, and where they played there. So you'd get clues like "The girl who brought the bear didn't play on the swing set" or whatever. Fun! I'm a little addicted now. I may keep some by my bed for working on at night. Hey, those things are good for the brain. Keeps the muscles working.

I was in bed by 9:30 last night, and even then it was hard to get up 10 1/2 hours later to go to church. After church I went to Cracker Barrel with my parents. When they first got there, my mom called my uncle to see how Casey was doing. She has only called me that one time, but I didn't want to bother her because they have a lot going on, and I'm going to see her tonight anyway. I texted her a couple of times and got no answer. Anyway, my mom said that when she called Casey was in the middle of her ski lesson and apparently doing really well. I guess there is a boy with them around her age who has never skied before, so they were probably going to hang out on the beginner slopes together. My uncle also said he's taking a ton of pictures, which is definitely like him. So I'm looking forward to getting those. Casey got on the phone with my mom (I wasn't there yet) and didn't say much, except that she was already getting tired of snow. LOL. My uncle said it's extremely cold and constantly snowing, which I think is awesome because she's really getting to experience something she couldn't have here.

Anyway, a little while after I got home from breakfast, my mom picked me up and we went shopping for flooring for my house. We settled on Lowe's. They are going to come out and measure and give an exact estimate, but they are guessing around $2,000 if I go with vinyl. Not the best quality, but I can't afford to go nuts. I'm using my tax refund, plus my parents will help with extra if necessary. We may replace the carpets upstairs too (we're putting hard floors in the whole downstairs area). I'm psyched because I picked this stuff that looks like wood, so it's going to be nice.

When we got back home, my mom came in and tried to fix some doors that have broken in my house. SIGH. Things break when I look at them, I swear. She kind of fixed the door to the washer and dryer, but I have to be really careful with it or it will fall apart again. And she worked on my closet door that was off the track, but I don't think she was able to fix it. I've literally been picking it up and moving it back and forth. I need to marry a handyman.

Oh. I watched the Brittany Murphy movie Little Black Book last night. It wasn't too bad. Cute, with a surprise twist thrown in.
