Well, I didn't find any bathing suits I thought Casey would like at Target last night. I was amazed at how many bikinis there were and how few one piece suits. Oh well. I did actually come across a one piece in her drawer that is still her size this morning. But she needs 2, so I'll just take her shopping for another one tomorrow.
I did manage to get everything else she needs for her trip. I struggled to find stationary that wasn't too girly, and I ended up with these round notecards that are various colors. She informed me that she would not be using the ones with pink on them, but she was okay using the others. Okay, your highness. She does realize these are going to be for her to write letters to ME, right? I don't know that she'll have much time for writing anyway. I also got her a disposable camera that can take pictures under water. Kewl. She asked if I'd get her another one because this one only takes 27 pictures. I assured her that 27 is a lot and that she probably wouldn't have much time for pictures anyway. Plus they are doing this thing like they do on cruises, where they have professionals taking pictures of them throughout the week and they will post them on the internet for us to buy. I like that, because I can check up on how she's doing by looking at the pictures each day.
While I was shopping for all this stuff, she was in gymnastics injuring herself once again. She was climbing the rope and somehow ended up letting go and slid down, causing rope burns on her leg. Ow. I'm so glad I wasn't there to witness that. Every time she climbs that rope I get nervous, because she goes way to the very top.
So last night I had to run out to Walgreens and buy her MORE wrap (we keep the wrap makers in business), and she wrapped her leg all the way from her toes to just below the knee. And then we were really late leaving the house this morning because her wrap kept coming off, the dog kept trying to eat it, and then she couldn't get her shoe on her foot. I ended up giving her a pair of my shoes to wear, which are about 3 sizes too big. But they are the kind with no back, so it doesn't look completely weird. I would have let her put shoe boxes on her feet by then, I was so over it. Whatever, today was the last day of school. Who cares if she was late?
Last night I had a dream that I met this perfect guy and we were so happy together. I was so sad when I woke up. I couldn't remember what he looked like, but then today I saw one of my co-workers and it dawned on me that I think it was him. He's one of our new guys, and he's cute, but I never paid much attention to him, so dreaming that's he's my perfect boyfriend is weird.
I also kept dreaming that people were trying to spoil the end of Medium for me. I taped the finale last night, and in my dreams I kept hearing people talking about it and going "lalalala I can't hear you!". LOL... like anyone really talks about that show, or like there was some huge surprise ending. I guess I'll find out when I get around to watching it!
Tonight Casey and I are having dinner at Gators with Danielle and Christine. I'm looking forward to it. They have really good food, plus kids eat free on Tuesdays and they have a clown who does face painting. Then I'm dropping Casey off at my parents' house for the night, since she'll be hanging out with Grampa tomorrow. She'll be doing that every day this week. Tomorrow is swimsuit shopping (And AI finale! Ooh! I feel sick just thinking about it. I think I'm going to have a heart attack. Invest too much in TV? Why yes, yes I do), Thursday we'll need to start packing, and Friday my aunts and uncle are coming to town. Saturday most of them are going on a casino cruise, but Casey, my aunt Teresa and I are going to the beach instead. And Sunday, Casey leaves for camp. Yay! I'm excited for her for all the fun she's going to have, and for me and my peaceful house.
The Vice President of our department called for Todd today. I told him Todd was on the other line, and would he like me to take a message or did he want to hold? So he's all "No, I want him to pick up now unless something is on fire." He wasn't even kidding. Woah, someone needs their coffee.
TV Schtuff!
24 -
Holy crap at Logan slapping his wife around. Holy crap that Chloe used to be married. HOLY CRAP that Jack just got captured by the Chinese and beat almost to death!
That was so cool how they set Logan up by putting a wire on him, and he kept searching his wife, thinking she had one. And she knew all along. You could tell by the way she looked at him when he was arrested. I couldn't help but picture George W.'s face on his when he was being taken away. Ah... daydreams...
Jack Bauer is SUCH a badass. Like when that one guy tried to shoot him and the gun was empty, and he's all "You weren't going to let me go, were you?" and Jack's like "No. You were responsible for the deaths of my friends" and BLAM BLAM BLAM.
As devastated as I was about Edgar's death, I had totally forgotten about him until Chloe got that picture of them together. SOB! Edgar!
Everwood -
Okay, I kept hearing about a big death that was going to happen on Everwood. It's not Irv, is it? Because I gotta tell you, I don't care that much about him. Although it did break my heart when he was fixing Edna this romantic tray with a love note and all and then collapsed. But you know what, now that I know Everwood isn't coming back next season, another death wouldn't be that big a deal. Okay, maybe I'd cry if it were one of the kids or Harold (LOVE him). I did cry just a little when Hannah was begging Bright not to die. But dammit, did they have to interrupt her kiss with Nick? Because I think I'm just a little bit in love with him.
OMG, in the scenes from next week, it looks like Andy is going to tell Jake to leave without Nina because he loves her more. Talk about having a huge set of balls. He's so right, though.
I wish Bright going through that window hadn't been in the previews, because it would have been such a shock. But instead, when he was standing on that chair, I was just like "Okay, here it goes." When I should have been freaking out. Whatever.
