Argh. Out of all the things she could be doing on this lovely Saturday morning, Casey has chosen her very favorite... bugging me. She put a couch cushion on the floor beside me, laid down on it and proceeded to ramble on and on and on about everything that comes to her mind. Or singing random songs. Or quoting Girl Scout oaths and laws. I keep telling her she should go have some breakfast and see if her friends can play, but no. It's much more fun to drive me INSANE. She is currently rambling about the book Indian in the Cupboard.
Okay, I should appreciate this. It won't be much longer before hanging out with me is the LAST thing she wants to do.
I am ready for a super productive day. I got up and started the laundry right away, took the dog out, and paid some bills. Now I'm just spending a little bit of time on here because I simply can't resist, and then it's clean the house time. If I finish at a decent time (or maybe tomorrow), I'd like to go to the pool, a movie and/or spend Casey's last gift card from her birthday... $10 at Kohl's.
Oh, one more thing about The OC, since I finished it last night. Do you understand how very much I love Seth Cohen? Quote (at least the best I can remember it):
Ryan: So, what's this plan?
Seth: I go to prom with (girl's name I can't remember). Then Summer sees me with her and realizes the reality of a world without Seth Cohen.
Ryan: Because a world without Seth Cohen...
Seth: Is a world without light, Ryan. It's a world... without sun.
Indeed, Seth. Indeed.
And drunk Summer at the very awesome Pirate's Ball? Freaking genius. There are 2 things that are pretty much guaranteed to make me laugh... drunk people and dancing people. She was both. Heaven!
Gotta go kick my kid out the door.
P.S. Now she's reading to me from Nickelodeon Magazine. Oh, and she made me a choker out of Mardi Gras beads. SIGH.
