My class today was canceled. It really would have been nice to know BEFORE I drove 45 minutes each way on toll roads to get there. And I was looking forward to seeing how I did on Tuesday's test, because I know I totally rocked it. SIGH.
On the bright side, I used my time to get some gas, buy stamps and cash my latest child support check (59 bucks. Woo!). I also got back here early, which is good because I've been coming in late every day and probably won't get 40 hours, since I really don't have a chance to make up any time. So I'm hoping this helped. I'll have to see where I stand right now.
Also, I was at least saved the misfortune of paying for parking, because a guy saw me in the parking lot and told me class was canceled before I got the chance to pay and then walk to class and discover the sign myself. I was a little surprised he recognized me. There are like 100 students in the class, and I really keep to myself. Okay, maybe I stand out because I'm an old lady compared to all the 19 year olds. Heh.
Anyway, the whole parking thing... gah. Remember how I said before that I refuse to buy a parking pass because UCF are thieving thieves that charge way too much for them? Well, that was all well and good when I was taking night classes, when they don't really enforce it. But this semester, I have received 4 tickets. ACK. I am only going to pay them if they try to withhold my grades or my graduation, or put a boot on my car or something. If not, I'm going to graduate and move on with my life. But I'm a total dumbass, because they have these machines in the parking lots where you can pay for just that day, and I just never do it, and then here comes ticket 1,2,3 and 4. ARGH. I guess I just got to used to not worrying about it. So for my last few classes, I'll be using those machines.
I emailed my professor for my test grade. I'm now waiting anxiously. Our paper is due Tuesday. GAH. Eh, I don't think it will take me that long.
Yeah, I should probably do some actual work.
