Top 10 Fav Disney Cartoon Films
Saw that a lot of my LJ friends were doing this and figured I should as well. ;) It was very hard to rank my favorite Disney films. LOL They are SO many that I have always loved. It's a part of my childhood and I just love these films. For this list we can only use cartoons, so no live action. And it's debatable if you wanted to use the Pixar ones too, which I did. :) So I think I got it narrowed down to my top 10. :D
10. Finding Nemo
I loved this movie!!! :D It was such a great story about a father and son!!! <3 And Dory was just great!!! :D I also loved the California turtle. ;) LOL And made me really get to hear "Beyond the Sea" at the end. :) Just such a great movie!!! :D
9. Pocahontas
Pocahontas is another of my favorites!!!!! :D I played the VHS of this all the time and I just loved the story of her and John Smith!!! :D I've always been fascinated with Native American culture and mostly because I have ancestors who were like both of my Grandmothers' grandmothers. I also think that's why my Granny always liked this movie and the song "Colors of the Wind", which is a very spiritual song!!! :D
8. The Incredibles
"The Incredibles" was just AWESOME!!!!!!! :D I've always loved superhero films, cartoons, shows, comics, so this film was totally for me!!! :D I loved the idea of two superheroes who fell in love trying to raise a family as normally as they could. LOL ;) Obviously their kids would have powers and they would all have to get called back to duty. :) Just was funny and had some great action and a great family too!!! :D
7. Cinderella
This movie I adored since I was very little!!! <3 Who doesn't relate to the girl actually falling for a prince and hoping that glass slipper fits and to leave all your bad past behind. ;) And the mice were just SO cute too!!! :D LOL Plus, doesn't every girl wish she had a fairy godmother? ;)
6. Tangled
This is my FAV Disney film and cartoon that has recently come out!!!!!!! :D It was such a throwback to the classic Disney princess films and the characters were GREAT!!! :D And Flynn was actually attractive for a cartoon character. LOL ;) He and Repunzel were just adorable!!!!!!!!! <3 Just a great movie!!!!! :D
5. Alice in Wonderland
I first saw "Alice" when I was in 1st grade and I have loved it ever since!!!!!!!!!! :D I didn't get to read the original book for a few years after that, but I remember watching the live-action show on Disney Channel in the 90s. ;) I just LOVE this story just like how I do with "The Wizard of Oz". :D Shows how I always loved fantasy and sci-fi, and eventually how I much I would love LOST which lists "Alice" as an inspiration. :D And I always liked how George Harrison wrote his song "Any Road" about the line from the cheshire cat. ;)
4. Toy Story
My parents took my brother and I to see the 1st "Toy Story" when it came out and it's always has been one of my favorites!!!!!!! :D It's actually such an awesome trilogy!!! :D I was so impressed how it was made in CGI since it was Disney's fist. ;) Will always be one of my favorites and I loved the characters!!!!!! <3
3. The Aristocats
Now I'm a dog person, but I LOVED this movie!!!!!!!!!! :D The kittens are just adorable and Marie is just awesome!!! :D LOL And the love story between O'Malley and kittens' mother was just cute!!!!! :D Plus, it has this epic song "Everybody want to be a Cat"!!!!!! :D I especially loved the ending. ;)
2. The Lion King
I saw this in the theaters when this came out too and I loved it!!!!!!! :D Simba's story was just GREAT!!! :D I cried when Mufasa died, and I loved Simba and Nala's love story!!!!!! :D Plus, Pumba and Timon were hilarious!!!!! :D Always will be one of my favorites and had such GREAT music from Elton John!!!!!!! :D
1. The Little Mermaid
This should have been easy to tell if you know me that this is my all-time FAV Disney film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 OMG, I still LOVE it so much!!!!!! <3 My Dad took me to see it when it first came out. :) Ariel and Prince Eric are just the OTP. ;) The music is still fantastic and I always loved Sebastian and Flounder, and Eric's dog who looks like Martha McCartney!!! :D Nothing will ever top this for me!!!!!!!!! <3
