Mini Movie Reviews

Since I have DirecTV we had a free preview of all the movie channels a few weeks back, so over this month I've been able to catch up on a lot of films I wanted to see!!! :D  So here are my mini, non-spoilery reviews of the 5 I saw!!! :D

Remember Me: I loved this one!!! :D  It was so moving and very well acted!!! :D  I did know about the ending, but it still was a bit surprising and very moving.  :)  Robert Pattinson is actually a really good actor and Emilie de Ravin from LOST was just so great too!!! :D  Really great scene between Robert and Pierce Broson too.  ;)

Whip It: I LOVED this movie SO much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :D  Ellen Page is just amazing and I loved her character Bliss!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D  Ellen is totally one of my fav actresses and this had such a great ensemble cast too!!! :D  Really awesome sports dramedy about roller derby and totally one of my FAV films now!!!!!!!!!  :D  I'm SO buying this on DVD.  ;)  Had awesome music in it too.  :D

The Other Guys: This surprised me since Will Ferrell hasn't had a good movie in a while and it was  one of his better ones in years!!! :D  It was funny and I liked the paring of Will's and Mark Wallberg's characters!!! :D  Plus, the Yankees trashing!!! LOL  :D

Scott Pilgram vs the World: I was a bit disapointed by this but it was ok.  I guess I was thinking it would be more like a comic book/superhero film like "Kick-Ass", but it had a lot of video game quality to it.  I guess if I knew what it was really like maybe I would have liked it more.  But the film does have a LOT of talented young actors!!! :D

Away We Go: I just finished watching this a bit ago and I really liked it!!! :D  It's really sweet and funny.  :)  However, it does have a bit of rauchy humor, but overall it was really good.  :)  Plus, have to give credit for playing George Harrison's "What is Life" in it!!! :D  And I LOVED John Krasinski's and Maya Ruldolph's characters and Allison Janney was hilarious!!! :D
