I love the interactions between these two so it may be interesting but in my mind there's still Buffy's a robots thing that I can't just accept or even understand.
Initially I had the impression that they talk about "Spike and Willow" mini, but then I realised that there will be two different minis and each character will have his own journey.
I think DH spreads Buffyverse too thin. Anyway, we'll see.

Yeah, it's like they want every character to have their own series, but part of the reason why BtVS is good (well, the comics, not so much) is the interaction between the characters. If they get rid of Spike AND Willow, that doesn't leave much left. Xander and Dawn have all but disappeared, and as much as I used to find Andrew funny--not so much will recent developments--I do NOT want to see just him. Dowling seems like he could be interesting, but he's not yet fleshed out enough for me to care if he's there or not. :-P

Yeah, it's like they want every character to have their own series, but part of the reason why BtVS is good (well, the comics, not so much) is the interaction between the characters. If they get rid of Spike AND Willow, that doesn't leave much left.
