updating after 10 months
I didnt think that it was almost 10 months since i last updated...verystrange.
Im not sure who has me as there firend still or whatnot. I'm having a weird lets be productive and update, when i always go to myslef that i should. Well here we go, I hope i dont bore anyone,
Since august 3 2005 i have been living in Stuttgart Germany as an au pair. If anyone ever comes to germany skip stuttgart, its smaller than vancouver and is mainly the car city(BMW, daimler-chrysller, porsche) and bosch. i live in a tiny village call Gerlingen where everyone who works at the bakery knows me as the english girl that can speak a little german. Die englisch frau, sie sprechen ein bischen duetsch.
My german is alright, I can understand it but dont have a huge vocabulary and normally i cna just answer in very small sentances.
The fdamily i live with is nice, we get along fine. I look after one little boy Arieh. Hes alright going through terrible twos and has a mother who can seem to acknowledge that. As well the mother is 6 months pregnant.
i ahve made a good group of friends. Mostof the time we just hag out on the weekend, and the recurring theme is to get drunk and dont go home until the last night bus at 333am or when the sbahns start running at 535. But luckily the next few weekends Im busy and away so i cna rest my lvier for a bit.
Last week i turned 19. Most of the people i know are all over 22, and a few times I've had your 19...are you kidding. Lsat night i went out with a few friends and a guy who lived here back until october but then was transfered back to the states, surprise surprise he works for bosch. anywyas he was here on business and lsat night after finding out that i turned 19 last week look at me for a few minutes then declared if there was anything that ever made me have to have a vodka shot, that was it. it was funny...and lke 430 am so what can you do.
In two weeks im going to Sardinia for three day with my friends. Its an Island to the west of itlay, and is an itlain island. I've never heard of it until my friend laura was like does anyone want to go to sardinia with me? always good
I have been here so far for 6 months, and have only 5 more to go. It seems like i have no time left. I want to come home but dont really want to leave either. On the bigger side i want to get back and go to school. creppy eh.
The weather here is finally turning nice. For the few people ive read complaining about the cold, for three months the average temperatue here was minus 7. with high winds....now thats bad. But this weekend it was warmer and all the snow is gone! we've gotten a bit of rain but other than that its been good.
So i dont have much more to say at the moment but i think ill keep updating here. its fun
