i dunno if everyone's read this or not, but i just came across this fic while looking for lotr au fics. strangely enough.
anyway, jayne is a zombie. one of the funniest fics i've every read. i don't know who the hell shrift is, but they are made of awesome.

and yeah, we rewatched fellowship of the ring and the two towers last weekend. between that and watching wilfred, i am nutso for elijah wood/frodo. i've been looking for weird au lotr fics, like the fellowship traipsing through modern days or a cool xover with the stand, but i haven't found anything. anybody got some good NON slashy frodo fellowshippy ringy fic recs or whatnot? i've been working my way through the middle earth fic awards categories which have some decent stuff, but...
