it was my understanding that the go fish machine didn't work because dumbledore's dad never gave "nice" dumbledore the isometric control thingy. i don't think it had anything to do with dumbledore's dna, per se.

but i could be wrong. i can't believe i spend this much time trying to work out fictional fake science on this show. i think the writers just make it up. i've suspended my belief this along, i shouldn't stop now. :D

and i've stopped whining about eleven not mentioning rose. for 11, those memories are more removed, like looking through a window. nine was with rose when he regenerated, so the first person ten saw was her. but eleven's been on his own, so i'll forgive him.

also, i have a good idea for a drinking game. take a drink every time amy says shut up. you'll be drunk within the first 5 minutes. ;-P

also also, after rewatching s6 i noticed a lot of references to silence. and we don't know who's voice that was talking to river in the tardis when it was about to explode, do we? the voice said something about silence. it sounded kind of like davros to me, but i'm sure they're not bringing him back. do you think they'll ever bring a regenerated master back?

okay, sorry. done babbling.

Babbling? You're apologising to me for babbling? Have you seen my latest post?

The Silence is going to be the next season's Crack in the Wall, I'm pretty sure. What it is though, not sure. I think it has something to do with the Crack, the Tardis exploding, and River Song, but that's all speculation on my part.

Didn't notice the Davros connection, but then again -- they undid Dalek Caan's brilliant work to make the iDaleks, so I don't see why they wouldn't bring back Davros too if they wanted. And last we saw he was very set on the End Of Everything, so something huge and universally apocalyptical would surely be up his alley.

(You could be right about the go fish machine -- that makes sense. However, it still leaves a fairly large plot hole in that you have to wonder if Dumbledore's dad would let him play with the go fish machine, why did he leave everything else to him? But never mind. Timey wimey suspension of disbelief. Come along Pond, allons-y.)

Yes, Amy does have some characteristics of which I do not approve.

That's an interesting point I hadn't considered. I don't think you're whining by the way.

I suppose it must be hard for someone who lives so long to remember everyone he loves forever. Eventually you probably have to gain some distance just to avoid going mad.

Speaking of madness, my understanding is that the Master is basically the, ahem, master of returning from the dead, so if the writers want him back, back he'll come. I do hope they bring him back. I really loved Simms' portrayal though. Not sure I'll love a new master quite like that.

I just realised I do not have any Master icons. Hmmm.

(the BF has just walked by and said "I knew you'd be a mad Doctor Who fan once you got into it." He was right.)

ETA: I now have master icons.
