i finished this book last week. it broke my heart. it was one of the most heartbreaking, beautiful books i've ever read. i'll never forget it. the writing was like poetry. frankly, for a book written in 1929, i'm in awe.
i might be writing a fic that references
all quiet on the western front.
the book is about world war 1, but it's timeless and shows the horror of war in detail. i listened to the audio version, read by frank muller. simply amazing.
