ETA: BECAUSE I SUFFER FROM ADVANCED TAPIOCA BRAIN (ATB) I FORGOT TO ADD A CHOICE OF "MAYBE." PUT YOUR MAYBE'S, COULD BE'S, AND ONLY IF BUFFY'S GUBLER'S THERE IN COMMENTS PLZKTHX!
LA is just a bit out of my feasible travel range. *le sigh*
I'd love to go to San Diego Comic Con. I just need to find a tall skinny guy to dress up as Reid. Maybe if the timing is right I can plan some massive west coast vacation. *pines*
ps the criminal minds fanatic website is working on setting up funding for people who need help paying to get to the con. just wanted to let you know that.
My biggest issue would be the time and distance. It's one thing to drive a few hours to a convention, spend the weekend, and go back to work (albeit tired) that Monday.
If I'm going to justify a trip to California, I need to spend more than a weekend. So if Comic Con and crimicon are close together, I think I could justify the trip. But if I don't like the idea of driving in Chicago there is no way in HELL I'm going to be doing any driving in LA. That thought sends shivers down my spine and I'm comfy at home.
But yeah, I totally *want* to go. It's only a 30 hour road trip. Maybe I gather people as I go?
Have you got a site with more info? Is there more info to be had? It does sound like a wonderful thing but broke college students really have limited traveling options =(
Based solely on desire, though, I will be there in a heartbeat ;D
If it's in LA I could maybe get my sister to drive me, or take a train, so it might not be too bad. Though it also depends on whether I can find a summer job and if I can get the time off my hypothetical job to attend (It looks like the convention is going to fall on or very near to my 19th birthday! That would make a pretty awesome present, so I do hope I can go).
