I snuggled closer to Casey, she was so warm against me. "Maybe it's the simple things in life that make us feel good," I commented softly, our fingers still intertwined. It was as if I just fit with her. Perfectly. "For example... future forts." I grinned.
"Future forts, and snow angels, kisses, smiles, happiness shimmering in your eyes like it is right now..." I listed off, grinning. "You know, you're pretty lucky, 'cause as far as girlfriends go I'm probably fairly low maintenance." I laughed softly, caressing the hand I held absently with my thumb as we laid there together, completely content, in the middle of her cloud like bed.
"Good to know." I replied sarcastically, laughing, before sticking my tongue out at her playfully.
She may live in a big fancy house, but I didn't believe for a second that she was high maintenance. Over emotional, definitely, and that was adorable, but she wasn't high maintenance.
I raised my eyebrow teasingly toward her quickly, "Really now?" I smirked, before brushing my lips lightly to hers for a moment, teasing her before intensifying the kiss slightly, edging her mouth open a little more with my tongue.
I wasn't really about to argue when she says she requires kisses. I'd be insane to, I think. Why would I want to deny both of us something that feels so good?
I couldn't help but laugh softly as Casey complied, kissing me. She parted my lips open with her tongue as an indication for me to open my mouth, which I did - still smiling.
We continued on like that for a while, completely lost in each other, my free hand at some point drifting slowly down her side and coming to rest on her hip, before I had to pull away, gasping for breath. "Wow..." I breathed, smiling, knowing my eyes probably looked as glazed as Savannah's did.
"Think now's a good time to mention how happy I am Mike didn't come with us?" I asked softly, still somewhat breathless.
I brushed some of her hair softly back behind her ear and laughed softly at her comment, her body warm against mine. "I don't think your brother would highly approve of me making out with his sister." I teased.
I couldn't help but laugh slightly at her comment. "I'm not so sure he'd approve of anyone making out with his baby sister, not just you, Sav." I pointed out, deciding now was as good a time as any to test out a little nickname. "Not that he gets a say. It's my body and if I want to trust you with it, that's my business, not his, right?" I smiled softly.
"Fine with me," I agreed, immediately smiling at the nickname she gave me. My sister from time to time called me Sav, but it was different coming from my girlfriend.
"I'm really glad you trust me... because I trust you too."
"Good." I smiled, kissing her softly again. "You know, he's probably gonna think I've lost it when he finds out anyway, since we just met and all...I mean, I'm sure you noticed me trying not to flinch when you touched my shoulder in the store, and now look at us..." I pointed out with an amused smile on my face.
When I actually thought about how fast all this was happening, it felt pretty unreal, but just in the moment? It was one of the most natural things in the world to me.
I nodded, but smiled still, "Are you going to tell him?" I asked softly.
It felt so comfortable being with her, I, too, just wanted to fall asleep right now. It was the first time I had felt truly at home, just being with her.
"Yeah." I promised, "Just, not like tonight or anything, let's give him a few days to get over the fact that I actually have a friend before I drop the girlfriend bit on him, okay?" I asked softly.
"It's not like I'm ashamed. Anything but, I promise. But I know my brother, and you kinda have to work him up to things, you know? I don't think he'll have a problem with it once he gets used to the idea." I smiled to her.
"Did you want to come over after school tomorrow? I mean, I was planning on going downtown and playing for an hour or so before heading home and making dinner, if that's okay with you?" I suggested, not really ready to leave yet, but knowing I had to soon.
"Believe me, Casey, you don't seem like you'd be ashamed of much, especially not this," I reassured her. "And your brother seems really good, like all he wants is your happiness... and you can totally tell that's not an act." I commented.
"As for tomorrow after school? I'd love to." I smiled softly to Casey, already excited for tomorrow, but not wanting today to end.
"Practically everything he's ever done was to make me happy." I told her, "Things he's been through to keep me safe and happy, that he just not done his life probably would have been the better for it...I can't even begin to tell you..." I told her softly, "So yeah, I think when he sees how happy you've already me, I think he'll be fine."
"As far as tomorrow goes, it's not gonna be anything super fancy for dinner, but I'll be cooking." I smiled to her.

"And I'm completely high maintenance," I stated sarcastically, giggling softly. "But you please me well." I couldn't say it with a straight face.
