I'm curious about artistic theme. Is it obligatory for everything, including banners, or it's meant only for original (non-banner) works?

Good question! I double-checked the rules and didn't see a definitive answer, so I'm going to check with Alice to make sure we're on the same page, and will get back to you shortly.

We've agreed that the theme is meant only for original works. So banners for stories don't need to follow the theme. Thanks for asking, and I've edited the reminder post and signup post to make that clear.

I'm not sure what is up. We had good turnout for the Willow round even though there's whichwillow and plenty of Willow fic written for femslash_minis.

Maybe it's just my FL, but things have seemed a bit slow on LJ lately. Maybe we just had the bad luck to post this when people are taking breaks for real life or something.

I'm going to nudge a few people I know who might be interested, and see if I can get them to sign up.

Or it could be that people here are mostly the same authors from femslash-minis - the only ones used to prompt exchange event, and they are not interested in writing male characers. And those who write Giles are unfamiliar with the exchange format and scared to participate.

Yeah, that's definitely a possibility. I don't find the exchange format intimidating, but I was reading femslash_minis fic before joining in. At any rate, we have enough to at least do a fic exchange, and femslash_minis sometimes only has two participants and manages to survive. So I'll hope for more participants but just move forward if we don't get them.
