I'm growing my hair out.

It's pretty long right now (longer than it has been in YEARS). What I'm going for is somewhere within these images:

Well, I think the whole faux-messy look has been dominant for a long time though... Even in shorter cuts, like the stereotypical "Jimmy Fallon" look.

I basically want to try long hair... Because I'm very bored with short hair. I don't have curly hair, so I can't go for that. Long straight hair on guys tends to either look heavy and gready, or extremely "emo".

I thought this was a happy medium. And it can absolutely be made appropriate for job interviews -- it won't be a classic preppy hairstyle ever, but it doesn't have to be an informal mop either:


That is a bit more sedate while still keeping the spirit of the cut... And it's all in the styling.
