Dear Buffalo_dorks,
Every Monday morning, I take my two year-old cousin on a date. We find a fun activity that keeps us busy for a few hours, and then we have lunch together.
Last week we went to see the dinosaurs at the museum. The week before, I brought him to Clayton's in Williamsville. They are members at the zoo and at the botanical gardens, so those are standby's for us.
Do you guys have any fun suggestions? He is nature boy, through and through, so petting zoos, working farms, that sort of thing would be a plus. We drive into the city from the family summer home in Canada, so beaches and water activities, while awesome, are sort of redundant for him as he's coming off a weekend full of boating and jetskiing and sand.
Also, what about kid-friendly restaurants that aren't fast food chains? I know it's only a small step up, but we've been going to Anderson's because he'll eat the kids meals with mandarin oranges and chocolate milk, and then I don't feel terrible about pumping him full of soda. Plus he likes the ice cream.
Any suggestions you guys have would be great.
Thanks in advance!
