so today i was sworn into the navy. i leave jan 24th for basic training in illinois, then it's off to texas for A school. that is unless a seat for the MA program opens up before then. i'm hopin i can leave in november instead.
at least i got the job i wanted. so once i'm out of A school i'll be a master at arms. it's basically the navy equivalent to an MP.
kinda crazy how fast it all happened. i walked into the recruiters office monday, took the asvab test yesterday, then got my physical and took the oath today. madness.
fuckin headquarters saw my asvab score and wanted me to take a nuclear program aptitude test because i did so well. fuuuuuck that. guess what guys? i hate math and failed 2 science classes in high school. not hap'nin.
man... 4 years. i hope i get stationed somewhere sweet. i kinda want to like where i'll be for that long. japan, pearl harbor, maybe someplace sweet in europe.
i have to say, the commander that swore me in was one cool/respectable dude, too.
and now i need to take a nap after being molested by doctors and filling out paperwork since 5am.
