New Crew...
I'm currently working with Ben "Peach" Petree (percussionist extrordinaire) to form a band for the Unified Talent Productions (UTP) music review (a band under UTP direction). I am currently looking for TALENTED players who can play a mix of Funk, R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz, and gospel (etc) for the summer assembly of this crew. Experience is preferred, but green musicians are welcome to apply. The following positions are needed...
Vocalist - preferrably female with R&B, Funk, or Soul roots; needs a wide range and distinctive tone. Males are welcome to apply. Should own their own microphone (I suggest an AKG or EV) and cable. other skills (IE, percussion or keyboard experience) is definitely a plus.
Guitarist - must have background in funk, R&B, or hip hop; should be able to play in styles of george benson and kenny burrell, etc. {Must be able to solo, fill in funk rhythm, and comp jazz if possible}
Keys player - must be fluent with ALL styles of music and able to comp through any set of changes in any style. Should also be able to improvise through changes (comping, not solo) on the spot in case the band gets lost, and fill on multiple lines with various synthisized tones. {this will be almost exclusively synth and keyboard background filling}
Bass player - must be able to play R&B, funk, and hip hop; should be able to move quickly through the range and should be able to improvise R&B/funk basslines off the cuff following proper changes. should also be able to play by ear. [Electric bass only, 5-string is preferred]
Equipment/stage manager - part time, must own light systems and transport vehicle to transport equipment and personell if possible (preferrably a large van, SUV, or a VERY spacious car). Any other equipment that would be applicable to an R&B Funk show would be beneficial.
Live Sound supervisor - Must own PA system components and should be an experienced live sound technician. Bare minimum for system would be ten 50' cables, four Sure 57/58 microphones, a pair of 15" stage speakers (with cables), and a pair of 12" monitors (with cables). Powered mixer / mixer with power amp, sub woofer, and extra sound equipment is optional but encouraged. Should have a transport vehicle as well.

Andrew Spadafora - Saxophone, Flute (hopefully), synth sax, aux percussion, resident asshole. (driver of equipment vehicle)
Kyle Heisler - Equipment and stage manager (part time), driver of shitbox nissan.
Abe Gabor - Soundman Supreme, nuff said.

Include a list of owned equipment and/or vehicles, experience, and other information that you think I should know. I will reply as soon as possible from my business email (I won't put it on the site for fear of junkmail). When I know more I will post what the potential pay per position will be and an updated roster.
