2010 Meme
I want to try journaling again, here's a step in that direction...
1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Started college, even if it's only community college.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I think so. We had resolved to eat more cheese and drink more wine in 2010. While we drank a lot of
the same kind of wine (vinho verde) we tried some others. I'm hoping The Sum by Seventy Five Wine
Company will be a new favorite. We're going to open it tomorrow.
Jacki and I also really wanted to make new friends and that's happened! As it turns out we have a cool neighbor we didn't know about! We've also become closer and done more with our current friends which has been fantastic :D
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Friends not physically close to me did! Virginie had little Leonard :)
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, but they tried! My brother in law had a horrible motorcycle crash. Now he's in the hospital for
something else. Rumor is he might have lung cancer. That's super scary because that's what killed
my dad.
5. What countries did you visit?
Canada?
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2010?
More motivation. Better health. Less problems for my family members. MORE MONEY!
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Halloween 2010 was fantastic. We hosted a Blythe meet that was super fun and then went to an amazing
party at a new friends place! Best Halloween in a long time :D
I don't really remember dates too well though for other things. Jacki finally graduated from UW with this
year after needing 3 credits for the longest time!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Hmm. Not going completely bonkers (only partially bonkers). Probably making friends and being more social.
Getting and riding a bike! Had a lot of fun riding with Jacki and Valerie :)
Oh got health insurance thanks to Jacki :D
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not passing Math 99 (intermediate algebra/pre-calc) :P This has fucked my school thing up. I'm anxious about being kicked off of Worker Retraining. This is the fall out from hosting halloween parties and meeting more friends. I was being social when I should have been studying. Also depression caused me to put off doing things.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really. I'm experiencing vertigo, but I think that's stress related.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Bikes!
Rock Band!!
Various thrifted stuff that I can't even start to catalog XD
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Jacki's for putting up with me, supporting me and helping me at every turn! Lisa and Sara for encouraging me to be more social :)
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Racist, homophobic, stupid people of the world. Anyone who likes Sarah Palin. People who don't think for
themselves. These people trump any dumbass things my friends of family may have done :P
14. Where did most of your money go?
Ebay? Ok maybe more like helping with my car payment/food/mortgage payments. Oh and school books!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting to visit Lisa Petrucci and her husband Mike. Their home and collections are amazing! Turns out they live less than 1 mile from us.
Meeting Twinkie Chan at 3rd Place Books!
Halloween! Had a great Blythe meet and partied down at Liz and Darren's. They have such a great home :D
Getting to meet Long Gone John and view his incredible collections. SO many Mark Ryden originals!! Thanks to Diem for inviting us along and Sara for being our intermediary ;)

Uhh, hmm. I can never remember when songs came out and forget how old they are :P

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Sadder. Depression and anxiety oh my!
ii. fatter or thinner? Fatter, but not by much. I can't really grown much more anyway XD
iii. richer or poorer? I guess poorer since my unemployment check amount went down.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
SCHOOL WORK!!
Exercising, knitting, crown making, more artistic endeavors.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting time online. Freaking out. Thinking about dumb crap.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
We stayed home this year and went to Jonna's for xmas eve. It was nice but do feel bad
for not seeing family.

Just more in love with Jacki <3
23. How many one-night stands?
None! I'm a good girl!
24. What was your favourite TV program
I can't pick one. Community, Fringe, Modern Family, The Middle.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hmm nope. I'm going to try not to waste any energy on hating anyone.

I don't think I've read anything but school books.

So much! A real camera and a bike among other things.

I never stop wanting stuff :P I guess the biggest is that we'd like some mid-century furniture and haven't been
able to find any.
Right now I'm pining for a ukulele, which is stupid I know.

New movie: True Grit

I liked Lady Gaga until she started acting extra stupid.

Local elections where the middle class/lower income people voted against things that were in their best interests :P
Hating that people are bagging on Obama so badly when I think the problem is really the
democratic party being a bunch of pussies.

Liz and Darren Cole and Lisa P!
