What's better than calling up Christen and deciding to go see King Kong the day we get out for break?
Calling her after 10pm and deciding to go to the 10:50pm showing.
What's better than being given permission to go?
Not asking permission, just informing.
So it's a good movie, it's also one heck of a mood swing. Ahhh! Beauty! Oh sad...HAHAHH!, EEE! *suppress vomit* oh they're in love! oh no! ACK! *trembles in fear* repeat for like 3 hours.
So Christen and I had no problem with like giant dinosaurs, but the bugs got us. First just some millipedes to make us squirm uncomfortably. Then we later saw more creepy-crawlies coming out. That was a scene far too long. It ended and I simply said, "We're such girls" So we were making all sorts of noise. Noone else in the sparse theater was, at all, ever. And we just kept being all "AHH!" "eee" "eewwewewe" me more so than her to be fair.
So right as the movie was starting Christen's phone started vibrating. It was Rachel S! She couldn't answer it of course but we were rather surprised that she was calling at nearly 11pm. It's not like her. Oh, but it get's better. She had left a message. Rachel had called Christen's cell at nearly 11, to tell her, that she wasn't going to wear the silver shoes and Christen could borrow them for Winter Formal. So Christen and I were sitting in the parking lot laughing endlessly at 2 in the morning. "Call her back!" I encouraged. This was deemed to be a hilarious idea, but a bad one as we didn't want her family to hate us. So we had to content ourselves with Christen calling Rachel's cellphone (which we knew would be off) and leaving a message. About Winter Formal shoes...at 2 in the morning. My favorite part, "it's two in the morning, and Betsy and I are just sitting in the parking lot waiting for the car to warm up." um...which parking lot? "at the movie theater!" she hastily added at my reminder.
hahah, just a random parking lot, that's what people do at 2 in the morning, sit around in parking lots.
The ICK dvd is pretty much love, and I can't stop watching pieces of it. I couldn't ask for better friends, in or out of ICK.
Well enjoy breaks, holidays, winterness, whatnot!
