I'm graduating from college this Sunday. I don't have any solid plans. When people ask, they always attribute it to the economy, etc. Oh yes, lots of people don't have jobs. It's so hard right now. Maybe you're hearing the same things right now.

Of course, since I'm paranoid, the words that jump out at me in this entry are "crazy," "foolish," "ridiculous," and "seemingly irrational." But, then again, I tend to see those as positive character traits.
And, really, it's a lot of fun once you accept your own ridiculousness. I think that's what I love about doing stand-up. I just say basically the worst things possible about myself and let people laugh. I've been enjoying the past few days of telling folks that I'm dropping out of grad school to be a comedian. Their expressions. I love them.
Anyway, half of the battle is knowing that you want something with your life. We're in an adventure, and it's going to end with death. Might as well fight.
