Jumble of random thoughts....
So I haven't updated in a long time..which is pretty normal I suppose.
Well let's see, anyone who hasn't looked at my flickr lately should do so. mayu's graduation pictures are up, drunk parties around that time, and my snowboarding trip. Pictures from on top of mountains kick fucking ass.
Let's see, in DS news, one of the coolest things I have seen in a while is going on now. There was a seminar put together by Nintendo where they took gaming students(programmers, artists, etc.) and had them make their own indie games. These are going to be available for download over the next two months(for free) and I just downloaded and played the first one. It is a badass shooting/throwing game where you use this character with like floating gloves to pick up stuff on the bottom screen and throw it at enemies.
I also got the dictionary that lets me draw in kanji(along with barnes) and it kicks ass. I can sit down and actually read pretty much anything in Japanese now if I put time into it. I am going to try and read famitsu every week now.
Also I am extremely jealous of my friend who works at capcom because he just got a huge break and is working closely with THE Shinji Mikami(of RE fame) on the new godhand game. He just flew to LA with him and I saw a bunch of pictures of him hanging out. I am not a jealous person but damn that is just too awesome.
Of course he did work his ass off to get there, so best of luck to him. I know I will be picking up the game.
In other gaming news me and Patrick got a chance to play Virtua Fighter 5 at a location test in Osaka. Game is absolutely amazing, I hope the test goes on for a bit longer so we can play some more sometime. It is awesome watching Patrick because he can actually kick some Japanese guys ass in it.
Oh and it looks like I will be back at the end of June/beginning of July. Soon after it looks like I will be enrolled in BatDan's Smash-do bootcamp. There is gonna be a lot of pain involved...
