hi. my dog, peaches, died today. we thought she was going to die last night, but we took her to the dog emergency room place in my town and they said she was dehydrated. she was shaking so bad it looked like she was running, but she was laying down. and she was foaming at the mouth and her head was moving in circles. once they got her to walk around, they gave her a shot to keep her hydrated and then she was walking into walls and extreemly disoriented. the people said to take her home and just keep an eye on her. she slept fine last night and then this morning, she was her normal quirky self. she was eating again and drinking, (only flavored water, i might add) and so we thought she would be fine for a few more months. she is 16 by the way. so we went down to my grandfathers house for christmas and had planned to leave early. the whole day, i could tell something was wrong and i felt horrible. my sister and father insisted that she was fine and that we could stay an extra hour. when we got home, my mom went in first and found her dead on the floor.there was a puddle of foamish stuff and she was cold and stiff and heavy. she had only been 14 pounds. but now, we could barely lift her. my dad and mom cleaned up the mess and put her in a box wraped around a towel and her new christmas sweater. they put her in the garage and plan on getting her cremated tomorow.
im devistated and i dont know what to do with myself. i just feel so...lost.
