Boredom and train trips

Aug 05, 2009 19:55

I've decided to make the most of my newly acquired 8 o'clock at night train trips (not as scary as you may think), I'm going to attempt to update at least 3 times a week and actually comment on my friends journals (I've been slack I know - please don't hate me).

Uni went back the end of last week and seeing as I'm working full time as well it's like 14 hour days, almost everyday. Except Friday - Friday I get to go home at 4pm!!! You don't realise how epic-ly excited I am about that.

Dear new girl at work,

I get that you more qualified that I am, seeing as I am the trainee. I also understand that you are learning how to use the analysers. However, I do NOT get why when the shit hits the fan and the analysers break you a) don't come and help those that get stuck with the hideous piles of paperwork, b) try and help at all and c) sneakily leave 15 mins early. In regards to c), yes we all saw you, and if you were wondering why a certain black-haired individual kept giving you shit jobs to to for the past two days, that would be because the chief, myself and her were at work an hour late and you snuck out. I'm going to add this annoyance to the day the week before when I had over 100 results to manually enter and you were playing solitaire in the corner. You aren't sneaky - we all know. However, the boss is dumb and is probably the only person that doesn't know. Think yourself lucky sunshine.

Sincerely,
Megs.

I really wish I could actually give that to her, but as mentioned, I'm the trainee. Le sigh. Despite new girl being a lazy idiot, the isn't much wrong with work. Oh, except for the part today when I decided my time would be better spent plotting the quickest way to burn the new analyser down ...
but that's a story for another day (or train ride)

I'm also thinking of actually doing up my journal a bit. Now due to my lack of artistic talent, this my take a while and combined with the dodgy connection on the train, I hope it doesn't break on me or something (or end up looking really really ugly).
