Hecticness, being cross and new phone.
So yes, I know I only have a tendancy to only write here when I am cross with somthing or someone but hey, I'm on a mission to redeem that. Just not today. And I'm even doing this from work! Bad BW.
I had too many adults in my class today! Normally we are screaming for staff because they have forgotton that my nursery nurse is on long term sick leave (how??) and they do not cover her. Today I had cover for nursery nurse, M my usual and fantastic TA, S my student nurse, a behavior management teacher observing two of my kids, A student from the SENCO project (not my choice), G (my part timer) and his TA, and my new child K and his Ta. Oh and they also covered me (i was suposed to be on non contact time but had said as it was new childs first day I wouldn't take it).
So seven kids (all in equipment), three teachers, four TA's, two students and a bloody partridge in a pear tree.
Its not that big a classroom.
Also while I am suposed to be printing of behavioural management tracking forms I happened to glance upon a few pictures on the internal intranet of some students that I taught last year. These pictures are of these children, in standing slings. Nothing unsual there. Just that these are the slings that I have been going on about for nearly four years. And tried despretly to get for the last two years as the standing slings the school used I felt were unsafe and freaked the kids out when they were in them as they tilted forward in them. Not great when you are a quadrapligic child not used to moving and you suddenly tilt forward with the groung rushing up to meet you.
So yes, just another thing that now the teacher that is in my class is part of the SMT and a Deputy head the children get what they deserve. Doesn't matter that we pleaded with her for over a year to get a special type of bean bag chair for a student with severe (and I mean severe) scoliosis. they had no chair to sit in and spent days on a lay, mat or bean bag - not a great way to access the curriculumn. And Lo! She now has the chair we were fighting for! I was told there was not enought budget (this DH is the buget holder to - now there's a suprise!)
Anyway I know I should let go but I am being made more and more to feel like people are talking about things like this behind my back. Argh I hate feeling like this.
On a better note: New Phone! New Phone! Even if when I did plug it in to the laptop to get my pictures on it from old phone it decided to upload the entire music collection from the computer to the phone. Took forever.
Ayhoo I beeter finish up here and go back to my class and it is dinner time and I have to go help feed. And then go to the skankiest hydro pool ever. It makes my skin crawl.
