To keep Bonten more fitting with 1935 America, his appearance has been changed slightly. His hair is cut at shoulder length and normally tied back (although pieces at the front still tend to escape), and he doesn't have his ear or lip pierced.

He does still have four small black dots framing his left eye, but he believes this just to be an unusual birth mark.
