Got to the surgery center at 11:30, Paid the bill and made follow up appointments, then received the do's and don't do's, the meds and the equipment (an Cone which they call an E collar and a body sling. Then we got our doggy back. He was so excited to see us, we hadn't seen him since the Thursday we left for California, so it had been a while. I swear the little fart grew another foot.
He's actually pretty mobil but we have to be extremely careful. He can't get off the carpet. No hardwood or tile, which is what's in the dinning room and kitchen. If his hind legs were to split it would be really really bad. So for now we're confining him to the living room and walking him very carefully to the back door to go out.
He's on four or five meds one of which is a sedative which we are supposed to use often to keep him calm and inactive which for a year old Rottie is quite the challenge even with a bum hip.
But, it is good to have him home. Things just seemed off without him.
Now the fellas have two things in common... They have both had Total Hip Replacements and they've both had vasectomy's. LOL
