How cute can you be before becoming obnoxious?

Tonight will definitely be one of those get-shit-done nights, rather than the normal pointless routine of doing absolutely nothing but LJing and Facebooking.  I'm waiting on the washing machine before taking my laundry to the dryer.  Meanwhile, I will post my Friday night entry.

Yesterday was alright.  I enjoyed work.  I was in a fun mood and had fun with the guests.  Today, though, was the opposite.  I wasn't really in a Disney mood today.  Perhaps because I stayed up too late last night.  Last night, Gina, Lindsey (lindsey_18), Chad, and I went to Pleasure Island.  It was one of those lameo nights; none of us were really feeling it.  Mike Crouse is also here visiting Sarah and everybody.  He stopped by Honey to say hi real quick; we also met him and Sarah at Pleasure Island last night.

Pleasure Island's starting to get kinda old.  I need to take a break from it for a while.  I wanna head to Downtown Orlando and go klubbin' there.  I can only take so much of Pleasure Island... even though Lindsey loves going there to do the Cha Cha Slide.  It's amazing how popular that dance still is!  lol.

One thing at the playground that is hard NOT to notice is the abundance of camcorders and cameras being held by the parents.  I often feel bad for the kids that go to Disney World.  They look forward to a good time, running around and having fun at the parks.  Instead, they are often dragged around by their parents, in a hurried frenzy to keep up with the parents' iternerary.  Overplanning certainly ruins the trip for everybody.  And, of course, nobody ever designates time for the playground.  Nobody even thinks twice about alotting a good amount of time for the playground.  Therefore, the fascinated little kids want to spend hours at the playground, while the angry parents drag them out in order to get their money's worth of other attractions.  It's sad that many parents care more about taking "cute pictures" of their kids, posed like little dolls of cuteness, instead of caring about how much enjoyment and fun their kids are actually having on their "vacation."  I sometimes think that some of these crazy parents use trips like this just to showcase their kids and family in the form of lots of pictures, instead of genuinely enjoying themselves.  It's amazing how people can turn an innocent, good-hearted trip to Disney World into a week of dragging their kids around, frame by frame.

I'm glad that my parents weren't crazy!

On a side note, I really needed to take a shit when I got home from work.  I take a healthy dump.  Then, I glance over to see no toilet paper!  It's been one of those nights, indeed.  Needless to say, a trip to Walgreen's is now on the list of things to do tonight...

Well, today is Friday.  Need I even mention it anymore?!  It's time for Mike George's Favorite Things:
  • Peeling dead skin off after I got sunburnt.
  • How can I forget the splendid tan after getting sunburnt!
  • Singing "Happy Birthday" over the intercom at work.
  • The rubber padding material that carpets the playground.  It's so easy on the feet.  :-)
  • Cinnamon-sugar pretzels.
  • Resisting the urge to spend money on overpriced Disney cinnamon-sugar pretzels.
  • Sprite Remix.
  • Evenings, when it's the perfect temperature - not too hot, not too cold.
  • Hot Fries.
  • Chewy granola bars.
Damn, it seems like every week, it gets harder to think of ten things for the Favorite Things list...

disney college program, favorite things, rants
