DARE I DREAM
Dare I Dream
Oh thee, who cavorts with playful romance
framed in untamed elegance,
amongst fields of marigolds,
dare I watch as thy manliness unfolds?
Dare I invision an intimate embrace
where I lay within thy tender grace,
where I can smell the sweet scent of thee
and my hearts caressed by thy company?
Oh thee, who dances in dawns soft light,
so assured in the mysteries of life,
dare I dream of being thy wife
and of the gentle union that comes with the night?
Or shall I always dream in charcoaled wisps,
forever awaiting the approach of thine hungry lips?
