lol. I know Mickey had some abandonment issues but to be fair Rose was pretty bitchy to him lol. Plus he got badass by the end, no? I liked Rory and Amy because they were more like an actual about to get married couple to me. They were like actual people. They didn't need to be with eachother all the time or be touching eachother or whatevs. But I did feel the lack of depth.
As for the show itself I understand that. I feel like he's trying TOO hard to change everything. It's like he's trying too hard to show that the Doctor makes mistakes and the companions can be awesome. With nine and ten they didn't HAVE to try. It was obvious that the Doctor was capable of mistakes and that all of the companions were awesome without him. With Amy, she doesn't really need him like everyone else does. Does that make sense for the lack of chemistry? That's how I look at it at least.
As for 11 vs. 9 and 10. It's true I am not a huge fan of 11. The fact that he doesn't get things and he does things that will definitely put everyone in danger and jumps to killing right away just bugs me. I too loved 9 right away (I don't think anyone didn't lol). With 10 it took me longer to let go of 9. I didn't love him for a little while. I think 11 just needs one moment to make us love him. Ya know what I mean?

I get you :)
I'm not quitting the show by any means--its better than most of what's on TV--I just wish it'd hurry up and get awesome! The stone angel eps were the only ones I've seen so far where the interaction between Amy/Doctor/other people were MOST Doctor Who like. The classic iconic DOCTOR. Yeah.
