not a bad day, butnot a good day
so last month on the way back to my house from seeing spiderman 2 i get pulled over for going 56 in a 40. it was on that uphill portion of n roan between ace hardware and the indian ridge fire station. ive been meaning to take care of that all month, but i havent gotten around to it. so i thought my court date was on july 28 and last week i glanced at the ticket and i was pretty sure that what it said. so i was going to go by today and pay for defensive driving school. (which doesnt affect insurace and equals no points) but, as it turns out, when i looked at my ticket this morning when i got back from class it didnt say the 28th. it said the 26th at 8am, which was this morning and also meant i missed it. so i head over there to take care of it with my proof of insurance (when i got pulled over i had an expired statemnt) and the ticket. they look at this stuff and ask me for the registration. so i go out to the car, open the door, throw down my keys and get it out of the glove compartment. then as im closing the door i pat my pocket and realize my keys are in the car. this is only the second time ive locked my keys in the car and it already wasnt a good day. so i go back in to give the clerk the registration and get the whole thing settled and then ask if someone can help me out with my key problem. so i give it to her and its also expired. so then i ask her if anyone in there can open my door for me (since cops have that equipment) but she tells me they cant bc of insurance reasons. but she did give me 2 more weeks to get this whole thing straightened out. so i had to call my dad and he found someone he works with to drive over to the police station (not too far but still) and give me a key because he was in a meeting. then it was smooth sailing. but thats been my day. i hope it doesnt rain so i can go and play frisbee. thats always relaxing.
