San Francisco: Come to the Dark Room

Apr 19, 2009 16:22

Hey, I need some help getting an audience together for these shows. I'm working on new stuff and need a good audience to gauge it. I'm primarily doing story-based (some call it long form) comedy. It's me, on the stage, not reading from a book, but just kind of rambling and ranting, for about 25-30 minutes.

There are three other standups also working out their stuff. It's about two hours of trap-running.

So, if you would like to come, I will comp you, if you can't afford the $5. I'm not being snarky there. some of you who would come from the East Bay would have to pay $7 or so to get there and back.

My goal isn't selling tickets, it's working on the material. I've already kissed the theater rental goodbye.

What would be great, is if you want to come, to tell me when you're coming. I'm trying to get guaranteed crowds every week. Between me and the other three, if we get 10 apiece, it's going to be full in there. So, I'm thinking if we each get five on a wednesday night then we'll have a nice sized group.

The Dark Room, on Mission, near 19th. Wed. 8pm. BYOB. hit me up.
