driving sucks
The last two nights in a row I had to drive for about 7 hours straight, and that was just one way, someone else drove the return trip. Both times I was driving the front vehicle, going about 60 in the dark on roads that I had only been on once. And when you are goin 60, concrete barriers that block off the entire lane jump out of the darkness really fast. The roads are blocked all over the place, with one lane bridges and all kinds off obstacles. I ended up driving with night vision goggles so I could see past the headlights. And then we tried to pass a convoy that was going about 55, almost got thrown off the road a few times by semi trucks, almost fell into a few craters, and got drove over the concrete curb a few times. By the time I got back I was wired up, eyes buggin out of my head.
It's not been confirmed yet, but I should be on leave from June 12 - June 26. Only 3 months and 9 days, can't wait. Somebody better start stocking up on beer right now :)
