Teacher

I'm looking to become a teacher.  A history teacher, to be exact.

If any friends, old and/or new, are reading this and care to share some info on the procedures necessary, then I'd greatly appreciate it.

The times, indeed, are a-changin'.

Question: if an event is somewhat controversial, would you tell your students both sides?

Example I could think of from my past: my AP American History teacher told us about the conspiracy theory (that he fully believed in) that we really didn't land on the moon, it was staged.

Examples that I can think of off the top of my head that wouldn't ordinarily be in history books but are disputable: 1) Pearl Harbour (and how we used it as an excuse to go to Germany first), 2) 9/11 conspiracy theory 3) the last two elections

...I mean really. "The times, indeed, are a-changin'." has been my reason for considering going back to school to be a high school biology teacher. Evolution is more provable than dinosaurs and humans living together. **honestly**. And over 40% of the American population believes so much in Intelligent Design (including someone who is running for vice president). ::shudder;;
