Tired...kinda...

This weekend Eric and I went to follow the 5k course. We got there around 10amish. We started jogging it, but weren't feeling like we'd had enough to eat for the morning/weren't feeling right with it. We ended up walking the course in 40 minutes. That's a brisk 13 minute mile walk. We were ok with that for a walk. We took the day off yesterday :-)

Tonight Eric and I went out for our nightly jog/walk. This time I brought my cell phone which has a stop watch as a feature. So I decided to time us. Our goal for the evening was to get 30 minutes of jogging in; didn't have to be straight because we haven't done that yet either. Just wanted to get 30 minutes of faster paced cardio. So after all was said and done we had the following stats:

Overall 4.3 miles in about 55 minutes
30 minutes of jogging going 3.1 miles (ironically enough!)
So that last 1.2 miles took about 25 to walk, but we weren't looking to do anything exciting. I'm feeling ok; I've got a big more in me I think, so That gives me some hope that I might be able to do this thing.
It's been difficult to get to this point because I absolutely HATE running, though I really like the feeling after running. Who knows, maybe eventually I'll like it. Hell, my stomach feels a little tighter too... woohoo!
