(no subject)
Okay so I decided to update before I leave for work although there is not much to say.
Mitch and I found a place to rent and I am super pumped about it. It's in an old building with lots of character and it's in my favorite part of the city. We can walk to SO much from it. We're moving the first week of next month and I can't wait.
Work is going pretty great. It's sinking in that this is my everyday for the rest of my adult life. I talk to a lot of people about saving money and retirement and stuff and everyone reassures me that I'm going to have it made since I've been saving in a 401k for so long. I really want to be able to travel and really live once I retire so that's what I'm shooting for. Also, if in my old age my partner in crime is Mitch, well then we'll be set because he has been saving for even longer. But I make good money and have the potential to make almost six figures after awhile (and if I'm lucky and they don't change anything--like put a cap on salaries or something).
We are going to be babysitting a 10 week old puppy soon for a few weeks hopefully. A guy at work needs someone to watch him until he can be sent to his adoptive family. I told him we would absolutely love to so I hope we get him soon! He's a little pitbull pup.
I am excited about Cassandra's wedding in August! I haven't seen her since we did the camp out thing in Jamie's backyard and that was years ago. I'm planning on staying in Charlotte and getting much needed hang out time with Katie too. Jiggs is getting married sometime next year and that's going to be a big party. Everyone is tying the knot! Cassandra's wedding will be the third of four weddings I'm going to this year. Dang.

Dad and I are talking about another vacation next year back to the British Virgin Islands. I'm getting giddy just thinking about it.
Okay, I need to put this away and go kiss Mitch and Elliot goodbye for the day. Just today and tomorrow before my weekend can start!
