Hello LJ.
At the beginning of the year I had set my weight loss goal at 25 pounds I believe. I would like to report that so far I've lost 23 pounds and I'm still losing. I've gone from a puffy-faced 167 pounds to a svelte 144. My ultimate goal is to get to 140 by December 31. I feel incredible. The best part about it is that it honestly hasn't been a lot of hard work and sweat. I haven't been exercising (other than my job being physical sometimes) and I haven't been starving myself. It's just been a lifestyle change of eating at Mexican restaurants much less, drinking a lot of water and vitamin water zero, not drinking beer every weekend, and trying to make my portion-size smaller. I'm loving it. My work pants are practically falling off of my now--which is an issue I will need to resolve eventually but for now I'm enjoying the solid evidence of my weight loss. I think once I hit my ideal weight (somewhere in the 130s I guess) I will start some light exercise every week just to maybe try and tone my muscles a little bit more. My arms are starting to look a little leaner from lifting tires and brake rotors all day.
Yesterday Mitch and I went up to Dahlonega to the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve because they have a baby zedonk up there. A mama donkey made whoopie with a daddy zebra and the result is an adorable donkey-zebra hybrid. Her name is Pippy and I kind of love her. They also had a teeny tiny baby ring-tailed lemur who was wearing a diaper and I was squealing a lot because of it. We held some snakes and walked around and relaxed and it was a pretty great experience.
