Florida was awesome! But let me give you the details. So our drive down there was horrible. Well, not really...Our van just decided for the A/C not to work so we had to roll with the windows down the whole 12 hours and it sucked. But it was still fun even though I didn't sleep at all. So when we finally got there we just crashed instantly and slept till about 2 if i remember correctly. We just chilled that day and watched a bunch of movies and then the next day we started recording drums. If you know nothing about the recording process, drums are the hardest thing to record. It turned out good though since we had Seth playing with a click track. The next day we did bass and that went pretty well. No real problems with that. Then finally it was guitar day, but Matt went first so I still had to wait. It took about 4 hours for Matt to do 4 songs...We were beginning to wonder if we should get another guitar player, haha. So then it was my turn and damn...It took me about 4 hours too. We just didn't realize how complex our songs really were. It was one thing to record the whole song bit by bit, but then you hafta go back and play it again to get a full sound. So that was a pain in the rear. We did vocals the next day and that wasn't too bad...But the next day was probably the coolest...The Screams!! It was so fun. I skipped a bunch of stuff but I was getting all the recording stuff out of the way. One day we got done early and we decided to go to the beach. It was so fun. Me and Amber kept goofing around in the ocean and it resulted in us both being slammed by the waves and washed up on the shore, haha. It was still fun though...Just something extra for us to laugh about. But really that's all we got to do since we were mainly stuck inside the whole time. That and the rain played a big factor. But we ate so much food. We lived off tacos, hamburgers, hotdogs, ramen noodles, spaghettio's, easy mac, spaghetti and cereal. So healthy. Although the last day we were there Amber and I went out to eat, so that was cool. The ride back was so much better. Amber and I rode back with our singer, Tony, since he didn't come to Florida till that Wednesday. He had the nice A/C so we gladly piled in with him. We had some funny conversations and we'd stop to get some gas with the band and video tape a bunch of nonsense. We have some great footage and we hope to put it on our EP. Okay, back to the story...We got back to Franklin around 4:30 or so and I was so tired. Amber talked to her parents the day we left and they insisted I stay the night with them so I wouldn't have to drive home. So of course I did. We didn't go to bed till around 6 or so and then Amber woke me up around 2 and we ordered pizza and stuff. She had to be at work at 4 so we parted around 3:45. All in all it was an awesome trip and I'm so glad I had all my friends there with me. Well, family I guess I should say. So I got the Florida stuff out of the way...Now for other things. Our songs aren't mixed yet...AT ALL. But it sounds so friggin awesome. We're so excited about everything. But on another note, we have a show this Friday the 17th in Greenville at Club Nervosa. If ya wanna come, let me know. But that's that for now...
