It seems the only times I update are when I haven't in a long time, and it's time I went to bed hours ago... oh well.
It has been a great couple of weeks. Great times, good friends, gotten most of my shit that I need to get done finished.
I made finals for the Shildneck. I know I worked hard enough on that damn tape... haha. Finals are this Saturday at Wesleyan at 1pm. I'll be playing the third movement of the De Meij concerto, should be good. Hopefully this will produce a win. It'll help in paying for Malaysia... plus it's just nice to win anyway.
Other more annoying things are afoot lately.
Rumors.
Holy shit, people. Get a grip. I know it's human nature to gossip and such, but some things have come to my attention recently that are laughably untrue. Some stuff has nothing to with me, but just by the sound of it sounds like complete and utter bullshit. Other stuff stems from stuff long in the past that is painfully untrue. Wow. I never knew people would harbor feelings like that and be so, so wrong.
I guess I was never part of that clique in high school that cared much for gossip or this retarded drama bullshit. In my group we were all pretty dorky and I guess didn't really have any fuel for rumors or whatever.
Sometimes I have to remind myself that people aren't just out there to tear each other down. Are they? Do people just want to see others fail? I sure hope not. I know I don't. I'm by no means perfect, but I (with a couple exceptions... heh...) mean well. It's utterly depressing at times.
I guess I spend a lot of time depressed, too. Oh well. Weekends like this one help that a lot. Getting a life, not wallowing in my own mind helps a lot.
Wait that's what I'm doing right now. Screw livejournal! Ha... ???
Anyway time to go take a nap before class. yay for forced three day weeks and pointless trombone festivals.
