A rather nice book cover
I've had this on my shelf for a while, and today I scanned it.
It's from 1914, and published by Blackie & Son. There's a credited ilustrator (Arthur Garratt) but I doubt he did the book cover. His plate is a very different style.
I like the way the squirrels and rabbits and birds are incorporated in the pattern. I didn't even see the squirrels the first few times I looked at it.
